Professor Roger Clough to review safeguards for children

Professor Roger Clough from Applied Social Science has been invited to become a Panel member of the Review of Safeguards for Children and Young People Treated and Cared for by the NHS. It is to be chaired by The Lord Carlile of Berriew and to report to the National Assembly for Wales by the end of 2001.

The panel will review the arrangements for the care and safety of children and young people under the age of 18 who are treated by and cared for by the NHS in Wales. They will consider the whole spectrum of NHS care from primary health care and community NHS services through to specialist children's units.

Professor Clough was selected for his expertise in the field of residential services and inspection.
