India Earthquake Appeal

02/02/2001 11:06:08

The 'India Earthquake Appeal' has been set up by a group of students from Lancaster University to help the surviving victims of the earthquake that struck Gujerat on January 26th 2001.

In order to raise money for aid, the students have organised a lunch (to which all students and staff are invited) on Tuesday 6th February for which a small fee will be charged. This will be held between 11am and 5pm in Cartmel Lecture Theatre. Visitors will be served a hot lunch consisting of variety of Indian foods (Halal and vegetarian available) and entertainment will be provided.

They urge you to come and enjoy the food whilst helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

On the same day there will be a collection taking place in Alexandra Square. Please donate as much as you can afford. Donations may also be sent to;
