Campus Arts - New Lancaster International Concert Series Announced

07/31/2003 16:16:16

Lancaster International Concerts this week launched their new programme for the 2003/2004 season. This year will see a diverse programme including the Philharmonia of the Nations, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, the Brodsky Quartet and the music of Frank Zappa as performed by the ensemble Pshappa.

Concerts director Tim Williams said, 'I think that we are finally getting away from our stuffy image, I want people to realise that no prior musical knowledge is required to enjoy the wonderful experience that live music brings, indeed, many people new to classical music will find that they recognise pieces from films, television and radio without perhaps realising what it was called or who the composer was'.

The Box Office will be open for subscriptions from Monday 8th September and for general bookings from Monday 15th September from 12-4 pm, on freephone 0800 028 3042. More information is available at www.lancasterconcerts.co.uk.
