Department awarded Marie Curie Training Site status

THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS has been awarded Marie Curie Training Site status by the European Commission for research in computer intensive methods in applied statistical modelling. Under this scheme the Commission fully funds extended study visits to the department by PhD students enrolled at universities in other EU member or associated states. The scheme will last for four years and allow 96 student-months of visits. This prestigious award is in recognition of the research training environment provided by the Department and University.
